Half a Century of Protecting Nebraska's Water Environment

 

The Nebraska Water Environment Association (NWEA) is a non-profit organization comprised of professionals dedicated to protecting Nebraska's water quality. The Nebraska Wastewater Operators Division (NWOD) is an internal membership division within the NWEA.

NWEA is a member association of the (WEF®Water Environment Federation.

WEF® is an international organization of educational and technical water quality experts. These organizations provide an excellent forum for communication, and provide educational information concerning the nature, collection, and treatment of domestic and industrial wastes.

There are eight slots available at fifteen minutes each beginning at 1:30 p.m.

Water is Life, and Infrastructure Makes It HappenTM is an education and outreach  program of a growing alliance of water and wastewater organizations, businesses, and environmental and public health professionals, dedicated to helping communities envision, build, maintain and improve life-sustaining water and wastewater systems.

Water is Life, and Infrastructure Makes It HappenTM aims to inform the general public, ratepayers, opinion leaders and elected officials about the following:

  • The value of water in sustaining and enhancing life.

  • The role of water infrastructure in delivering clean, safe water to our homes and businesses.

  • The role of wastewater infrastructure in cleaning water and safely returning it to the environment to be used again.

  • Water and wastewater infrastructure as a valuable community asset and the current backlog of water infrastructure investment needs.
