WORKS WASTEWATER OPERATOR – Wastewater Division, City of
Norfolk.
Must have a valid driver's license, and be able to obtain a Class
“B” CDL license, and a Nebraska Grade 2 Wastewater Certification.
Skills in electrical, mechanical, plumbing and programmable logic
control systems are beneficial.
Computer knowledge using Word and Excel are also beneficial.
Will be trained to operate and maintain wastewater equipment.
The scheduled work rotation includes weekend work approximately
once per month and on-call time.
Monthly salary range is $2,556 – $3,714.

PROGRAM SPECIALIST,
City of Norfolk. Duties
include designing, implementing, and coordinating a stormwater management
program; developing storm drainage policies, procedures, and ordinances in
support of the program; serve as a technical resource; inspect and monitor
construction sites for compliance with National Pollution Discharge
Elimination System and Department of Environmental Quality regulations;
and a variety of other duties. Minimum
qualifications include education and/or experience equivalent to
completion of Associates Degree with special emphasis on science,
environmental science, engineering or a related field.
Previous experience in environmental sampling, wastewater plant
operations, code inspections/enforcement, hazardous materials or similar
work is desirable. Must have excellent computer skills and a valid Nebraska
Operators License. Salary
range - $3,059- $4,256 per
